The immediate and extended families of late Chief Capt. Okekiri Iyelagha, have expressed appreciation to the Ebenanawei of Ogulagha Kingdom, Elder Capt. Joseph Timiyan, over his efforts towards the successful burial of the octogenarian.
This was contained in a statement signed by the first son of the late Fungewei of Ogulagha Kingdom, Pastor Tonye Iyelagha.
The family also extended gratitude to the lawmaker representing Burutu Federal Constituency, Rt Hon. Julius Pondi, the Executive Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, in the board of the Delta state Oil Producing Areas Commission, Amb.( Dr.) Shedrack Agediga, and the Ogulagha Traditional Council of Chiefs.

Also singled out for commendation is the Amadiwei of Ogulagha Kingdom, Double Chief Peter Ikiyegha, autonomous communities in Ogulagha Kingdom, Redeemed Christian Church of God branches in Warri and Ogulagha, Living Faith Church, Udu, and Unity School Class of 1990.
Others are the Shedrack Agediga Foundation, Odimodi community, Shell Petroleum Development Company colleagues, in-laws of the revered community leader, others too numerous to mention, and the general public.
Pastor Tonye in expressing gratitude, prayed God to meet all aforementioned personalities and groups at the points of their needs.
Daily Report Nigeria can recall that Chief Iyelagha died after a brief illness on February 3, 2022 and was laid to rest last week Friday at his compound in Ogulagha.
