The family of a 91-year-old woman who passed away in the hospital at the Ibadan Oyo State Central hospital has alleged that her corpse was mutilated.

This happened on Monday, October 31.

Reports held that the deceased, Rachel Oshuntolu was admitted to the hospital over a week ago and died on Sunday morning, October 30.

Some of the children explained that they left the hospital at around 8 pm on Sunday and planned on taking the corpse to a morgue the next morning.

Surprisingly, when they returned, it was said that they saw sprinkles of blood on the floor of the room where the corpse was kept.

Also, some pounds of flesh on the woman’s forehead and arm had been removed.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP. Adewale Osifeso was contacted but said he was yet to be briefed on the issue.

However, the divisional police officer of Iyaganku and his team were on the ground to ensure a peaceful protest.
