The Tonlagha family of Benikrukru community in Gbaramatu Kingdom is set to hold the 28th remembrance of their late father, Sgt. Oweiyegha Rowland Imoun Tonlagha.
According to the public notice released by the family, Tonlagha’s remembrance will take place with a series of memorial events on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Benikrukru.
The public invitation signed by Elder Emmanuel Tonlagha on behalf of the children, and Chief Paris Imoun and Hon. Shedrack Otuaro, for the family, stated that the remembrance will begin with memorial service at 8 a.m. that will run until 4 p.m.

A “Night of Tributes” will begin at 8 p.m. and continuing until dawn at Gbazor Quarters, Benikrukru Community, Gbaramatu
Kingdom, Warri South – West LGA, Delta State.

Late Sgt. Tonlagha was the father to renowned Nigerian billionaire and business mogul, Matthew Tonlagha, Chairman/CEO of Maton Engineering Nigeria Limited.
Other prominent children of his include Capt. Rowland Tonlagha; Capt. John Tonlagha, the Executive Commissioner for Health, Safety, Environment, and Community at the Nigerian Upstream Regulatory Commission (NURC); Engr. Michael Tonlagha; and Mr. Victor Tonlagha.
