Following the king’s coronation in 2008, the chief said the kingdom has improved massively with some of their lands which were taken by authorities recovered.

He said:

We started this journey about the end of 2007. There were so many who were battling and struggling to be the Ovie of Uvwie kingdom.

“You were never interested in the throne until the Almighty himself told you ‘thou art the man.’

“2008 to 2023 is not a joke. You’ve been there for fifteen years.

” We had thirteen cases on the chieftaincy. Even once the judge declared the installation and selection of Ovie nor and void. He said he had scraped it and people were rejoicing.

“You have been consistent even though some of us are trying to sabotage the effort. Since you came in 2008, you have not relented in the effort for the Uvwie people to regain what the Army stole from us.

“For the first time in the history of Uvwie, we struggled for fifty-something years to create a new judiciary.

“In your time, we now have a judiciary. We don’t just have an ordinary High Court, we have A Division. In which case, like I’m fighting now Uvwie is now entitled to at least five types of judiciaries.”
