A 40-year-old man has killed his daughter at Acilafiya village in Babura local government area of Jigawa State.
According to a villager, who spoke to DAILY POST, the incident occurred after the father beat his daughter of 11 years as punishment for an offence she committed.
He said the punishment led to internal injuries which subsequently led to her death.

Confirming the incident, Police Spokesman ASP Lawan Shiisu Adam said, “the incident occurred on Friday at about 09;40hrs, when a 40-year-old man, Hannafi Yakubu beat his 11-year-old daughter Salima Hannafi to death.

“The deceased was taken to Babura General Hospital for examination, where she was confirmed dead by medical doctors.
”Her corpse was released for burial in accordance with Islamic teachings”.
