Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, on Sunday held a private meeting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Fayose, who arrived at the library in the afternoon, was received by aides of the former president before proceeding to Obasanjo’s residence for a closed-door session that lasted over an hour.

Although details of their discussions were not made public, sources familiar with the meeting described it as a “private visit” linked to ongoing political consultations.

Context of PDP Reconciliation

The meeting comes at a time when internal reconciliation efforts within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are intensifying ahead of major political realignments expected before the 2026 general elections.
