Operatives of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), have arrested a Nigerian for alleged fraud.
According to report, the lady, identified as Sapphire Egemasi, who popularly calls herself ‘Tech Queen’, a tech enthusiasts risks no less than 20 years imprisonment if found guilty.

Daily Report Nigeria gathers that Sapphire, who owns a Depodev account was arrested around April 10, 2025, in Bronx, New York in connection to multiple US government agencies.
The Nigerian tech queen, alongside her accomplices, including one Samuel Kwadwo Osei, who led the team are currently in the FBI custody, as investigation intensifies.
The arrest comes after a federal grand jury indictment in 2024, which found the group guilty of multiple crimes including fraud and money laundering said to have occurred between September 2021 and February 2023.
The group is said to be specialized in creating fake websites, which is used to impersonate US officials to steal login credentials and facilitate the transfer of stolen funds.
If convicted, each faces up to 20 years in prison, significant financial penalties, and eventual deportation to their home countries upon completion of their sentences.
