FC Cincinnati have signed Chidozie Awaziem from Boavista on a permanent transfer. The Nigerian defender will stay with the club for the remainder of 2024 and 2025, with options to extend through 2026 and 2027.

The transfer fee has not been disclosed, and Awaziem will become eligible to play once he receives his P-1 visa.

Cincinnati general manager Chris Albright expressed his excitement, saying, “We’re thrilled to welcome Chidozie to the club. He brings valuable experience from both European and international football. His quality, character, and leadership will be a great asset to our team.”
