Femi Olaleye, the managing director of Optimal Cancer Care Foundation, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for raping his wife’s niece.
The verdict was delivered by Judge Rahman Oshodi of the Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court in Lagos.

In November 2022, Olaleye was charged with defilement of a child and sexual assault by penetration by the Lagos state government.
Despite pleading not guilty, the medical doctor was found guilty based on the testimonies of several witnesses, including his wife, the survivor, a child forensic specialist, a police inspector, a medical examiner, and a police officer.
However, one of the seven witnesses was withdrawn.
