Nigerian billionaire and writer Femi Otedola captured the attention of wedding guests with a touching speech during the marriage celebration of his daughter, Temi Otedola, and singer Oluwatosin Ajibade, better known as Mr Eazi.

In a clip from the reception, which has since gone viral, Otedola reflected on the very first meeting he had with his future son-in-law back in 2017. He confessed that his initial reaction was mixed, even joking about Mr Eazi’s dreadlocks at the time. However, he said a powerful inner conviction told him the young man was the one for his daughter.

“In 2017, probably 8 years ago, Temi said she wanted to introduce me to Tosin. I said No problem, bring him. I saw his dreadlocks and said Well, but something struck me that day, my parents were prophets, so I have that strong intrusion. Something told me that this is Temi’s husband. Eight years later, the dream has come true,” Otedola recounted.

The business mogul went on to stress the deep spiritual connection he shares with Temi, insisting that her marriage is divinely sealed. “What I have in common with Temi is very spiritual – a spiritual bond. This wedding is blessed by God,” he declared.

He also narrated how unexpected events almost disrupted the wedding festivities, but each time, things worked out in their favour.

“We were going to have the engagement at my house in Dubai, and there was a war between Israel and Iran, and they fired missiles at Qatar, ten days before the wedding. And I thought of it and was a bit worried we would cancel the engagement, but I said it would happen. And it happened,” he explained.

Recalling another incident, he said: “This tent we are in, last week, I just saw a video. There was a storm and it blew away the whole tent. I said, what? A week to the wedding.

“I said, Tosin, go and gather all the 747s in this world and let them bring in your tents, whatever they’re going to build. We must hold this ceremony today. And God look at it. You can imagine if this had happened two days before. So this is blessed by God.”
