As the deadline approaches, the two clubs battle hard for the signing of the Atalanta player.
Meanwhile, Atalanta have been firm: the former Everton star will only leave permanently for a fee north of €50m.
Galatasaray have shown strong interest and reportedly explored a €55m approach as they imagine pairing the 27-year-old with Victor Osimhen up front.
Meanwhile, Fenerbahçe remain active as journalist Orazio Accomando reported the Yellow Canaries offered Lookman a four-year contract worth roughly €6m per season.
Lookman’s situation is tense after he trained alone at Atalanta to protest the club’s rejection of an Inter Milan bid.
Consequently, Atalanta are resisting loans and low offers.
Therefore, unless an Istanbul club meets the valuation, the winger is likely to stay in Bergamo and reassess his options in January.
Several points matter here; first, Turkey’s later deadline gives both clubs extra time to negotiate.
Second, Atalanta’s firm asking price means any deal will be costly.
Third, Lookman’s stance indicates he wants an exit, which could speed up talks if either club pushes harder.
This remains a transfer story to watch closely.
