FG Bans 100 Passengers From Traveling Over Failure to Undergo Covid-19 Test, See Full List

Nigeria’s Federal Government has made public the passport numbers of 100 travelers, who refused undergoing the mandatory COVID-19 test following their return to Nigeria.

Recall that Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 had on December 24, announced that passengers who fail to take the test when they arrive the country would have their passports suspended.

The Task Force has held on yo the threat as it on Saturday January 2, announced the suspension of 100 passports.

“Based on Presidential authority, travel restrictions are placed on the following passports due to non-compliance to the mandatory Day 7 post-arrival COVID-19 test,” the PTF’s statement reads in part.

The PTF stated the restrictions will run for six months, starting from January 1, 2021, and would last till June 30, 2021.

According to the PTF, the affected passengers have since been notified and are prevented from traveling out of the country within the time of their suspension.
