President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has revealed that the Federal Government has successfully prosecuted and convicted over 100 individuals for financing terrorism in the last two years.

This disclosure was made at the opening of the 2025 National Anti-Money Laundering, Counter-Financing of Terrorism, and Proliferation (AML/CFT/CPF) Summit in Abuja.

Represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, President Tinubu highlighted the administration’s focus on disrupting the financial networks of terrorist organizations like Boko Haram and ISWAP.

He credited the success to the collaboration between the Office of the National Security Adviser and the Attorney-General of the Federation.

The government’s anti-crime initiatives extend beyond terrorism financing, with programs like the National Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Strategy, National Anti-Corruption Strategy, and National Drug Control Master Plan.

FG, States, LGAs Share N1.424tn FAAC Revenue For December 2024

The Federal Government, States, and Local Government Councils have shared a total sum of N1.424 trillion as December 2024 Federation Accounts Revenue.

The revenue was shared among the three tiers of government at the January 2025 Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) meeting held in Abuja.
