CREDICORP disclosed that the initiative is being implemented in partnership with MyVisaro and Alert Microfinance Bank to ensure wider access to responsible consumer credit.

The corporation encouraged interested applicants to access the service online and book flights across various destinations within Nigeria.

Officials noted that the scheme aligns with the government’s broader drive to deepen financial inclusion and improve access to essential services through innovative lending solutions.

The development comes amid rising domestic airfare, with ticket prices reportedly increasing by as much as 150 per cent during the 2025 festive season, in some cases exceeding ₦300,000.

Airlines have blamed the surge on escalating aviation fuel costs, foreign exchange challenges, and operational expenses.
