The Federal Government has ordered an immediate assessment of the damaged Section 111 of the Kano-Maiduguri Road in Bauchi State, which was recently cut off by a flood.
A technical team from the Ministry of Works will evaluate the damage and provide emergency solutions to ease the suffering of the affected Malori-Guskuri community.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Works on Saturday, Minister Dave Umahi stated the need for timely completion of projects funded by the tax credit scheme during a meeting with contractors.

Umahi also announced the termination of Section 1 of the Kano-Maiduguri Road contract with E Contractors due to time expiration.

The Minister stressed the importance of durability in road construction and called for greater commitment from all parties involved.
He cited ongoing projects under the tax credit scheme, including works by Dangote, BUA, and Mainstream Energy.
Umahi urged patience from the public, adding that the government is focused on delivering quality infrastructure to alleviate the sufferings of Nigerians.
