Mr Adelabu stressed that the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had moved beyond rhetoric, pointing to recent progress as evidence of genuine commitment to reforming the energy sector.
He noted that critical institutions such as universities, teaching hospitals, and communities were already benefiting from expanded electrification projects.
He maintained that Nigeria had both the human and technical capacity to begin producing its own meters, cables, transformers, and batteries, insisting that self-reliance was central to sustainable development in the power sector.
The minister added that the newly inaugurated training facilities symbolised the government’s drive to equip young Nigerians with the skills and innovation required to meet the evolving challenges of the energy industry.
