The Federal Government has revealed ongoing preparations by President Bola Tinubu to introduce a new minimum wage for civil servants.
George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), disclosed the plan in Abuja on Thursday during the launch of a new presidential initiative aimed at empowering women.
Representing Tinubu at the event, Akume explained that positive changes would occur as more Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses are integrated into the country’s transportation system.
The present administration had previously reached agreements with organized labour in 2023, leading to the suspension of a nationwide strike.
