The apex court also granted leave for the government to include the additional grounds to its amended notice of appeal dated 28th October 2022.

Meanwhile, lead counsel for Kanu, Mike Ozekhome (SAN) told the court about motions filed by the IPOB leader, including one in which he is praying to be relocated to Kuje prison from his current place of detention in a facility owned by the Department of State Services (DSS).

Ozekhome also claimed that Kanu was seriously ill and requires proper medical attention, which, he believed, his client could access at the Kuje prison.

The case was adjourned to May 11 for further hearing.
