FG to Pay Julius Berger ₦20 Billion Monthly for 14 Months to Complete Abuja-Kano Highway | Daily Report Nigeria

 

The Federal Government has announced plans to allocate ₦20 billion each month to Julius Berger Construction Company for 14 months to ensure the completion of the 82 km segment of the Abuja-Kano highway.

The project execution will be in four sections, and the government aims to alleviate the sufferings of road users amidst economic challenges.

According to the Minister of Works, David Umahi, the decision is in line with the Federal Executive Council’s directive to address inherited and new projects delayed due to funding issues.

The government will focus on completing other significant road projects, including the Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano route, the second phase of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, and the Third Mainland Bridge.
