The Federal Government has announced an ambitious plan to create one million jobs for young people across the 774 local government areas. Minister of State for Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, made this disclosure in Abuja on Friday.

According to Olawande, the government is committed to educating, inspiring, and connecting young people to careers and opportunities in the insurance sector using digital technology.

“We are determined to increase youth participation in the insurance sector to create jobs and enhance financial inclusion,” he said.

This initiative is part of the government’s efforts to address youth unemployment and promote economic growth.

“The Nigeria Youth Investment Fund is another initiative that aims to financially empower young people to generate at least one million jobs in 2024,” Olawande added.

The government’s plan to create one million jobs is a welcome development, and its success will depend on effective implementation and collaboration with stakeholders.
