A final year female student at Kwara State University, Rashidat Shittu, has reportedly taken her own life.
According to reports, Shittu ingested a chemical suspected to be Sniper in her hostel room on a Saturday.
The reason behind her act was attributed to her poor academic performance.

Despite being rushed to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH), she was pronounced dead upon arrival.

She was buried at the Muslim Cemetery in the Osere area of Ilorin metropolis, by her family and university staff.
Meanwhile, the Spokesperson of the institution, Dr Saeedat Aliyu is yet to comment on the matter.
