Scheduled to face eternal rivals Ghana on Friday, followed by a match against Mali next Tuesday, these friendlies serve as crucial preparation for the team’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic in June.

Expressing his commitment to delivering strong performances, Finidi stressed the team’s dedication to making Nigerians proud. In an interview with NFF TV, he affirmed,

“We want to make (Nigerians) them proud,” Finidi said on NFF TV.

“AFCON is gone so these are two games that are very crucial for Nigeria, so we will take them seriously and get the best out of these games.”
