Finland retains its position as it tops the list of Global Happiness Index.
Nigeria Slipped to the 105th position, mirroring the state of lives of the citizens and the condition of country as a whole.
In commemoration of the International Day of Happiness, the Wellbeing Research Centre has published the World Happiness Report 2025.
Finland has once again been ranked the happiest country in the world. This marks its eighth consecutive year at the top of the Global Happiness Index Record.

Nigeria however sits in the 105th position out of 147 countries in the world. The country also ranked tenth among African nations.
The ranking is based on self- assessed survey evaluation that considers factors such as social support, income, health, freedom, generosity, and absence of corruption.

Denmark
Iceland
Sweden
Netherlands
Costa Rica
Norway
Israel
Luxembourg
Mexico
. In Africa, Libya emerged as the top happiest country,while globally it is at the 79th place.
Notably, Costa Rica and Mexico entered the top ten for the first time, while the United States (UD) fell to its lowest-ever position, ranking 24th in the world.
