Fresh FM, the Ibadan-based radio station owned by veteran gospel singer Mr Yinka Ayefele, was on Friday evening engulfed by fire.
Videos from the scene showed thick flames consuming parts of the building as bystanders watched in confusion.
A staff member of the station, identified as @Arugboboisi on X, confirmed the incident in a post, saying, “Fresh FM is currently on fire! We urgently need the Fire Service to respond immediately. Please retweet, spread the word and alert the nearest station.”

He followed up with another post showing footage of the raging flames, captioned “What a night,” while urging authorities and nearby residents to assist in containing the situation.
At the time of filing this report, the cause of the fire had not been established and it remained unclear whether emergency services had successfully put it out or the extent of damage suffered by the station.
