A fire outbreak in the early hours of Tuesday gutted the Kano commodity market popularly known as Kasuwar Singer located in the Kano State metropolis.
Singer market is the largest market in the state where essential commodities like sugar, rice, millet, detergent, and other consumable products are sold.
As at the time of filing this report it has not been confirmed what caused the fire.

However firefighters have been deployed to the seen of the incident to control the fire and prevent it from spreading to adjacent shops within the market.
This is coming five days after a fire destroyed Badume market in the Bichi Local Government Area of the state.
