A portion of the Federal Secretariat located at the Three Arms Zone in Abuja was reportedly gutted by late Wednesday night.

According to an eyewitness, the fire started on the second floor of the first phase of the complex, which houses the Federal Ministry of Education.

While the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained, no fewer than 20 vehicles were reportedly affected by the inferno.

Located in the three-arm zone of the nation’s capital, the complex houses major federal ministries, departments, and agencies.

However, Ibrahim Muhammad, spokesperson for the FCT Fire Service, has revealed that only an 18-seater coaster bus at the parking lot was gutted by the fire.
