The female students’ hotel at the Ekehuan campus of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) has been razed by fire.
According to reports, the incident which occurred on Tuesday destroyed some documents and properties at the university.
Fortunately, the inferno that started at midday claimed no life, reports held.

This was because the fire service in the state responded to the incident on time, and its men were on ground to extinguish the fire.
It was believed that the fire was ignited by a hot plate electric cooker that one of the female students used.
However, the public relations officer of the university, Benedicta Ehanire, and also the fire service were yet to comment on the matter.
