Fireboy DML, the Afrobeats sensation, has addressed rumors of rivalry with his fellow YBNL Nation label mate, Asake.

The “Peru” hitmaker clarified that there is no sense of competition within their record label. He emphasized the collaborative and supportive atmosphere between himself, Asake, and their label boss, the renowned rapper Olamide.

Fireboy said, “I don’t think there is any competition in YBNL because everyone is on a different lane. We could all drop our songs one week from each other and nobody would be angry. There’s genuine love.

“There’s genuine brotherhood among us. There was a day Olamide and Asake helped loosen my hair. That moment was a very solemn moment for me. There is no competition in YBNL.”

During a recent interview with Max FM in Lagos, Fireboy highlighted the unity within YBNL Nation and emphasized that their focus is on making music and generating revenue, rather than engaging in industry conflicts.
