First Transshipment Vessel Arrives Lekki Port — Management
The management of Lekki Deep Sea Port announced the arrival of “Rimbaud,” the first transshipment vessel at its port.
Lekki Deep Sea Port made the announcement in a series of tweets on Friday.
It disclosed that the vessel, managed by Compagnie Maritime d’Affrètement (CMA) and Compagnie Générale Maritime (CGM) has an overall length of 270m, a beam of 42.8m, and a capacity of 6,900 Taus.

Before its arrival, the management explained, the ship sailed from the Far East.
The Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA added that the vessel arrived around 1 pm on Thursday.
The tweet read:
“The Nigerian Customs Agency boarded the vessel and all paperwork was certified to be in order.
“The transhipment volume on the vessel is 411 TEUs and the eventual destination will be Cotonou on 6th July 2023.
“Lekki Port is proud to actualize the objective of the Federal Ministry Of Transport, Nigeria and the Nigerian Ports Authority to bring transshipment volumes to Nigeria and this is the first of many more transshipment vessels to berth at Lekki Port.”
