Five people have been confirmed dead after bandits attacked a group of villagers in Kaduna.

According to reports from a resident Benjamin Maro, the bandits attacked the Ewehko community under Maro Ward in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killed a group of people, and burnt down motorcycles during a meeting organized by the deceased persons on Monday afternoon, June 17, 2024.

He said;

“Another tragic incident has occurred in our community today. In broad daylight, bandits launched a deadly assault on Ewehko, popularly known as Unguwar Paul, a village under Maro Ward at 2pm on Monday, and so far, the bodies of four men and one woman have been discovered. Search efforts are ongoing in the surrounding bushes for others who are still missing,”
