A gang of yet-to-be-identified gunmen have killed a bussinesman in Ondo state, following the ongoing Ramadan fasting.
Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the victim, identified as Ismaila Awoyinka sells building materials before his death.
He was reportedly attacked and shot at his residence after just leaving the mosque after a Ramadan prayer.
This happened at his residence opposite Caring Heart Mega School, Idi Mango area in Ore, Ondo state on Saturday evening. March 1, 2025.
Confirming the incident, a community source said;
He was assassinated the moment he left the mosque after Taraweeh prayer (a voluntary prayer during Ramadan), very close to his house, around 8:35 p.m. on Saturday. After he left the mosque, some persons dressed in white attire alighted from a motorcycle and stayed around the place,”

“As he (deceased) was about to enter his house, they ambushed him and shot him. He was shot at close range, and he d!ed on the spot.”
Also confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami
“The incident happened, and we have commenced an investigation into it,” the PPRO stated.
Man Beats Wife To Death Over Food In Bauchi
Men of the Bauchi State Police command have arrested a man for murder in the state.
According to reports, the man was said to have beaten his wife to death over food.
