A man has been taken into custody, after trafficking and impregnating 19 girls.

According to reports, the suspect was arrested following a crackdown by NAPTIP on alleged human trafficking and slavery.
Operatives of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP have arrested a man in the Federal Capital territory.
The suspect was said to have camped and impregnated 19 girls in an estate in Abuja.

While confirming the incident and arrest during a strategic meeting with Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) in Abuja on Friday, the Director-General, NAPTIP, Hajia Binta Adamu Bello said;
We rescued last week 19 girls all pregnant for one man in an estate in Abuja, received 9 girls from Cote D’ivoire, and other sordid stories to mention here”,
Hajia also emphasized the importance of NAPTIP in combating human trafficking in the country, noting the dangers involved.
