The Ogun state police force have confirmed the arrest of 3 suspected cultists in the state.

The suspects are said to be members of the notorious Eiye and Aye confraternity group.
Men of the Ogun state police command have arrested three suspected cultists in the state.
A statement from the command identified the suspects as: 23-year-old Adebowale Idowu of Elite Estate, Oke Ela, Ilaro; 25-year-old Abimbola Kabiru of Adeyemi Street, Orita Area, Ilaro; and 27-year-old Abiodun Segun.
They were arrested in the Illaro area of Ogun state.

Confirming the arrest, the spokesperson of the command Omolola Odutola said the suspects were arrested during a stop and search operation a day before a deadly clash which claimed the lives of four people in the Alogi, Somorin, and Obantoko areas on Saturday.
She stated,
“According to reports, on March 14, 2025, at approximately 12:40 PM, a surveillance patrol team intercepted an unregistered black Lexus RX330 along the Ilaro/Oja-Odan Road.
“The vehicle was occupied by 23-year-old Adebowale Idowu, along with his associates, 25-year-old Abimbola Kabiru and 27-year-old Abiodun Segun.”
Items recovered during the search include a battle axe, and a knife.
She added, “The suspects were immediately taken into custody for further investigation.”
