FLASH: Police Neutralize Notorious Kidnap Kingpin In Rivers

• Men of the Rivers state police command have neutralized a notorious kidnapper in the state.

• The deceased was said to have caused numerous kidnappings, as well as the death of four police officers.

Operatives of the Rivers state police command have successfully neutralized a notorious kidnapper in the state.

The deceased, identified as Nkem ThankGod, popularly known as 2man, a 42-year-old was an indegene of Ogbologbolo Community, Ahoada West Local Government Area of the state.

ThankGod, who was also said to have been a leader of cult group was alleged to have killed four police officers, a couple, and a youth president.

Confirming the incident while parading his lifeless body, the Commissioner of Police of the state, Mustapha Mohammed Bala said the suspect met his demise while trying to abduct a target in Ahoada East Local Government Area of the state on Thursday afternoon.

This individual, a leader of the Greenlander Cult Group, had been responsible for a series of heinous crimes in Ahoada East and Ahoada West LGAs, including murder, killing the Youth President of Okogbe Community, Mr. Christmas Ede, on December 21, 2021, multiple killings in 2024, including two PMF 48 personnel, three civilians (Mr. and Mrs. Rex Kiriki and Mrs. Abigail Victor), and a spare parts dealer after collecting ransom, murdering two Shell staff in Okogbe and stealing their Toyota Hilux,”

Nkem ThankGod met his end during an intelligence-led operation while attempting another kidnapping. His gang members managed to escape with injuries, and efforts are underway to apprehend them,”
