FLASH: Popular Ogene Musician Shot Dead By Police

A tragic event has unfolded as family of popular musician was allegedly brutally murdered by the police.

According to reports, the Ogene musician, identified as Okezie Nwamba was killed on Thursday, October 24 after a performance.

It was gathered that Okezie, who had been called to perform at a burial was told to perform at the police station before he could leave.

It was gathered that the matter quickly escalated and the officers allegedly shot him multiple times in the back while he was packing up his instrument.

Afterwards, the police reportedly transported the lifeless body of the musician to the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), where it was abandoned.

Eyewitnesses who confirmed the incident notes that a total of eight gunshot wounds were found on the deceased’s body

The police have reportedly claimed the incident was due to “accidental discharge,” though the circumstances and number of gunshot wounds have raised doubts among the family and local community, sparking suspicions of foul play.
