Flavour N’abania

Nigerian high-life artist Flavour N’abania, whose real name is Chinedu Okoli, recently shared a story about a time when he was asked to leave the stage to make way for P-Square’s performance.

In an interview on the ‘In My Opinion’ podcast, Flavour recounted his early music career, which began as a church choir conductor and drummer. He described how a pivotal moment in his career came when P-Square was promoting their song “Temptation.”

Flavour recalled, “There was a time when P-Square was just breaking out with ‘Temptation.’ They were brought to City Centre in Enugu, where I had already built a loyal fan base. My spot was always packed every weekend, regardless of what else was happening in the city.

“So, when P-Square arrived, their manager told me to stop my performance immediately. I turned off my equipment, handed over the microphone, and took a seat. Paul of P-Square then took the stage, and when he started with ‘This na Temptation,’ the crowd went wild.”
