The Presidential Amnesty Program has cancelled its one-day workshop with stakeholders across the Niger Delta.

This was contained by a terse statement signed by the INC Spokesperson, Engr. Ezonebi Oyakemeagbegha and made available to Daily Report Nigeria on Thursday.

According to Oyakemeagbegha, the raging flood, which has submerged many communities in the Niger Delta region led to the postponement of the event earlier billed for Friday October 14, 2022.

Informing members of the apex Ijaw body of the development, Oyakemeagbegha added that a new date will be announced for the workshop by the organizers.

The statement titled “Cancellation of one-day stakeholders Workshop / Interactive Session by the amnesty Office”, read;

“The Organisers of the above programme has postponed the programme due to the flood challenge across the Niger Delta.

“A new date for the programme will be communicated to all invitees appropriately.”
