FLOOD: KADSEMA Asks 7 Kaduna LGAs Residents to Relocate | Daily Report Nigeria

The Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency (KADSEMA) has asked residents of flood-prone areas to temporarily relocate to safer places.

According to the Executive Secretary of the agency, Usman Mazadu on Wednesday, there will be an imminent flood in seven local government areas of the state.

Mazadun disclosed that the affected local governments included Kaduna North, Kaduna South, Jema’a, Sanga, Igabi, Kagarko, and Jaba.

To prevent flooding during the rainy season, residents were advised to refrain from indiscriminate dumping of refuse and waste materials in waterways and drainages.

Also, they were encouraged to clear gutters and drainages in their communities.

KADSEMA promised to release an action plan for the mitigation of any potential flood disasters in Kaduna State.
