Fofana Confident Gift Orban Will Shine at Lyon Despite Slow Start

Gift Orban

Lyon winger Malick Fofana remains optimistic about Gift Orban’s potential to excel at the Ligue 1 club.

Gift Orban joined Lyon from Belgian Pro League side KAA Gent in January, boasting an impressive track record of 32 goals in 52 appearances for the Buffalos.

Despite his promising reputation, the 21-year-old has struggled to make an impact at Lyon, failing to score in eight league appearances for Les Gones.

However, Fofana believes that Orban will eventually find his footing and become a valuable asset for Lyon, despite his initial struggles at the club.

“Oh, Gift has to adapt. There are different rules here than in Ghent. He has had a hard time with that. He’s a special, but good guy. In the meantime, everyone knows him a little,” Fofana was quoted by Voetbalkrant.
