Food Critic Accuses Cubana Chiefpriest of Threatening Him

Popular food critic Opeyemi Famakin has publicly accused entertainment mogul Cubana Chiefpriest of making a threat against his life.

The situation arose after Famakin visited Chiefpriest’s restaurant in Imo State on September 11, 2024, and shared his review online.

In his Instagram post, Famakin praised the restaurant’s ambiance but criticized the use of pre-made, microwaved pastries. Initially, Chiefpriest responded politely, thanking Famakin for visiting and wishing him well in the comment section.

However, the tone changed the following day, September 12, when Famakin claimed that Chiefpriest privately threatened him over the review. To back up his accusation, Famakin shared screenshots of their direct messages.

In one message, Cubana Chiefpriest allegedly wrote, “Karma is real, you must pay for whatever you sow in life. I don’t fight lowlifes, I leave them to karma. The business you did your wicked review for is owned by a 6-year-old.”

In response, Famakin posted the conversation online and urged the public to hold Cubana Chiefpriest accountable if anything happened to him. He added, “I know a threat when I see one. I guess it’s time to leave Imo State ASAP. If anything happens to me while I am here, you know who to hold. I love how he was polite in the comment section for the world to see, but it was a different tone in my DMs.”
