The prestigious Forbes African Women Awards has named its honorees for the 2025 Iconic African Women Awards.

The Forbes African Women Awards is an award that celebrates excellence, innovation, and resilience, highlighting women who have shattered barriers and inspired change across the continent.

Unveiling the 2025 10th edition of the award, the institution recognized women who are trailblazers across various fields, for their outstanding contributions to leadership, entertainment, business, and society.

This year’s list honoured Nigerian women such as Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), who received the Forbes Lifetime Achievement Award.

Talented artist Nissi Ogulu, clinched the Youth Icon prize, while Dr. Arunmah Oteh, former Nigeria’s Security and Exchange Commission Director won the Change Maker of the Decade prize. These are amongst others who were duly recognized as influential figures reshaping Africa’s global narrative.

Technology and Innovation Award – Jessica Mshama

Champion of Change Award – Dr Glenda Gray
Businesswoman Award – Rita Zwane
Champion of Entertainment Promotion Award – Tholsi Pillay
Change Maker of the Decade Award – Arunma Oteh.

These awards further underscore the significant strides African women are making globally, breaking barriers and setting new standards of excellence.
