Deontay Wilder Arrested
Former heavyweight boxing champion, Deontay Wilder has been arrested.
Wilder was arrested on Tuesday for possessing a gun during a routine traffic stop in Los Angeles.
TMZ reports that Wilder was pulled over around 1:15 a.m in Hollywood as after officers observed that the boxer had illegally tinted the windows of his Rolls-Royce and an obstructed license plate.

Officers also said they perceived odour of burnt marijuana during the operation and proceeded search his car.

The officers found marijuana together with a handgun during the search, leading to Wilder’s arrest and booking for possessing a concealed weapon.
The boxer took to Twitter to address the incident on Tuesday afternoon, saying;
“I’d rather be safe than sorry. The End.”
