Former IYC President, Oweilaimi Bags Double Honors at Oil City Advancement Awards

Roland Pereotubo Oweilaimi Esq, a former President of the Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide earned double honors at the Oil City Advancement Awards.

The awards, which held on Friday January 28, 2022, saw the revered youth leader take home double gongs at the ceremony.

Oweilaimi was first honored with a meritorious award as an Oil City Peace Ambassador and as an icon of humanitarian supports and community development.

On receiving the award, Oweilaimi dedicated the accolades to his close allies who stood by him during his tough experiences, particularly while he was the IYC President.

“I dedicate it to them as a symbol of reward for their commitment to standing by me during my tenure and difficult encounters,” he said.

He also thanked the organizers for finding him worthy of the accolades, while congratulating his fellow recipients.

Oweilaimi would later be decorated with the ECOWAS West African Youth Ambassador by the West African Youth Council, WAYC.
