Former Nigerian interim president, Chief Ernest Shonekan is dead.
Daily Report Nigeria can recall that the late Shonekan headed the Interim National Government that succeeded the junta of General Ibrahim Babangida.

He died on Tuesday in Lagos, aged 85.
Shonekan served as interim head of the Nigerian Government between August 26 and November 17, 1993 before being ousted in a coup led by late General Sani Abacha.
