Former NTA Ace Broadcaster, Aisha Bello Dies

Aisha Bello-Mustapha, a former distinguished broadcaster for the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Network News is dead.

In the 1990s and early 2000s, Mustapha was one of the prominent news anchors on NTA Network News at 9 PM.

After thirty-five years of dedicated service, she retired in May 2022.

Her journey began as Aisha Bello, later transitioning to Aisha Katung, and finally adopting the name Aisha Bello-Mustapha.

Her association with NTA made her a prominent figure within the organization.

She rose through the ranks and became a force to be reckoned with, eventually hosting the program ‘News Extra’ on NTA.

A funeral prayer in her honor is scheduled to take place at the Central Mosque in Abuja at 1:00 PM on December 11, 2023.

A statement regarding her death read:

Innalilahi wa inna Alaihin Rajiun. May Allah forgive our Mother Hajia Aishat Bello Mustapha.

“Mama indeed you are a very kind-hearted person. We will miss you and hope you are enjoying Rahma. Funeral Prayer to be held in central mosque Abuja 1 pm on Monday 11th December 2023.”
