Abubakar Danso Sodangi, a former lawmaker who represented the Nasarawa West senatorial district is dead.
According to reports, Sodangi breathed his last on Sunday at the age of 70.
The Late All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain served as the Chairman of the Campaign Council for the re-election of Governor Abdullahi Sule in 2023.
Born on January 31, 1954, Abubakar Danso Sodangi was elected Senator in the Nasarawa West Constituency of Nasarawa State.

He assumed office in May 1999 and was re-elected in 2003 and 2007.
He attended the School of Primary Studies in Keffi from 1977 to 1979, and later studied at the University of Sokoto from 1979 to 1983, where he obtained an LLB (Hons).
Subsequently, he attended the Nigerian Law School in Lagos, earning the title of Barrister at Law in May 1984.
Sodangi was a member of several professional bodies, including the Commonwealth Bar Association, the African Bar Association, the International Bar Association, and the Defense Institute.
Meanwhile, the circumstances surrounding his passing were still unknown as of press time.
