Four Civil Servants Dismissed for Selling Public Landed Properties in Kano

The Kano state government has dismissed four staff of the Bureau for Land Management for allegedly selling public landed properties.

The state Commissioner for Information, Mr Muhammad Garba announced their dismissal on Tuesday March 1.

The dismissed civil servants identified as Abdulmuminu Usman-Magami, a Senior Survey Assistant on Salary GL 06; Abdullahi Idris, a Senior Land Officer on Salary GL 10; Mr Audu Aliyu, a Press Attendant on Salary GL 05, and Baba Audu, an Assistant Chief Land Officer on Salary GL 13, were accused of forging documents, issuing false cadastral information and falsifying official records.

They were dismissed based on the recommendations of an investigative committee set up by the government, following the complaints levelled against them.

Their dismissal which is in line with Civil Service Rule No.04406, is expected to serve as a deterrent to others.
