Police prosecutor Sergeant Priscilla Avorgah told the court that the accused broke into the apartments of two residents, Leslie Nii Fio Mensah and Abraham Kwaku Frimpong, who lived in separate flats in the same building.
According to the police, the suspects carted away valuables worth GH¢25,470, $2,200, and £2,500, which included an HP laptop, Samsung tablets and phones, JBL Bluetooth speakers, two JBL headsets, and a gold-coloured Rolex watch, among others.
The prosecutor explained that on September 18, both complainants left home for work, only to return and find their apartments broken into. Their doors had been damaged, and several belongings were missing.
Investigations showed that the suspects gained entry by climbing over the fence wall before forcing their way through the kitchen door. “The thieves ransacked both apartments and took away numerous items as listed in the charge sheet,” Sgt. Avorgah stated.
