A four-storey building on Monday collapsed in the Life Camp area of Jabi in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city.
Daily Report Nigeria reports that many persons are left trapped under the the rubble of the collapsed building that caved in at around 4:00 pm.
The building reportedly caved in while construction workers were still working at the site.

Sources say the structure believed to be a hotel accomodation collapsed shortly after the engineer left the site, while other workers remained trapped.
Cause of collapse of the structure has been attributed to the use of substandard materials for the structure located at a swampy area called Dape near Berger Clinic.
Officers of the Federal Capital Territory Fire Service, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Nigerian police were at the site trying to rescue workers trapped under rubble as of press time.
