France will face Spain for the gold medal in the men’s football event at the 2024 Olympics.
In the second semi-final, France came from behind to defeat Egypt 3-1. Mahmoud Saber opened the scoring for Egypt in the second half, but Jean-Phillipe Mateta equalized late in the game.
Mateta then put France ahead in extra time before Michael Olise sealed the victory with a smart finish.

In the first semi-final, Juanlu Sanchez’s 85th-minute goal secured a 2-1 win for Spain over Morocco.
Morocco had taken the lead at half-time with a Soufiane Rahimi penalty in the 37th minute, but Spain equalized in the 65th minute through a left-footed shot from Fermin Lopez.
